Rheumatoid arthritis associated with primary biliary cholangitis under treatment with biological drugs

The therapeutic approach of patients with two or more autoimmune diseases is quite a challenge, especially when the treatment one them, can precipitate progression other. Even though association rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and primary biliary cholangitis (PBC) rare; both coexist, use methotrexate other hepatotoxic drugs should be used caution. With most widespread indication biologic disease- modifying antirheumatic (bDMARDs) some reports RA PBC treated etanercept, infliximab, rituximab, tocilizumab abatacept have been published.
