ABSTRACT
Background: In this study, we aimed to evaluate the functional outcomes and complications of Gartland type 3 patients treated with lateral pinning cross in children aged between five ten years.Methods: Seventy-four fractures participated data were analyzed.Patients group (n:41) entry pin alone, (n:33) a combination 2 pins one medial pin.Age, gender, fractured side, Vong Baker pain scale score, duration surgery, postoperative complications, surgical approach, direction application (lateral or cross), Modified Flynn grading system grade was noted. Results:No statistically significant difference found crossed groups terms (iatrogenic ulnar nerve damage, loss reduction, superficial infection) (respectively, p: 0.138 0.991). Conclusion:When both techniques performed carefully, successful clinical results observed.If surgeon detects intraoperative instability, s/he should not hesitate K-wire order increase stability.
