ABSTRACT
Introduction: The purpose of this quasi-experimental research was to study the effectiveness a behavioral change program in reducing house index mosquito Village Baan-Wangpong, Lomsak district Phetcabun province, Thailand.
 Methods: sample size experimental and control group 42 representatives household each group. Representatives sampled were tested for knowledge, perception practice prevention dengue fever before after intervention. included training on by health personnel, demonstration making repellents from local product, organising an awareness contest, broadcasting messages through media surveying households mosquitoes’ larvae.
 Results: found that most village Baan-Wangpong had low knowledge (60.4%), perceived risk severity (64.6%) (77.1%) prior program, with comparability intervention versus control. results showed intervention, significantly higher level (p=0.001), (p=0.042), (p=0.002) behavior (p=0.028) preventing than post-intervention. group’s also (p=0.001) lower post-intervention.
 Conclusions: This suggests proactive about perceptions behaviors support public personnel community participation, can positively behavior, resulting larva.
