KKU-BiblioMerge: A novel tool for multi-database integration in bibliometric analysis

ABSTRACT
Objective. The objective of this study was to develop and validate KKU-BiblioMerge V.1.0, a bibliometric tool designed address the limitations single-source data in analysis by integrating from multiple databases, specifically Scopus Web Science (WoS). Design/Methodology/Approach. developed using R Shiny framework incorporated key functions for deduplication, field mapping, integrity checks ensure effective dataset merging. performance assessed testing its ability import, merge, export data, focusing on efficiency accuracy consolidating records WoS. Findings. application effectively processed integrated 686 initial documents, eliminating 24.49% duplicate produce final 518 unique entries. demonstrated strong consistency high offering reliable cross-platform integration compared tools such as VOSviewer Biblioshiny. Originality/Value. V.1.0 user-friendly, robust solution multi-database analysis. It enabled more comprehensive unbiased understanding research landscapes. Its capability integrate diverse datasets laid foundation advancing software, broadening scope analyses across scientific domains.
