ABSTRACT
Distributed Generators (DGs) are incorporated in the power distribution systems to develop green energies microgrids. Islanding is a challenging task microgrid. Different types of islanding methods, e.g. local and remote have been developed for handling this task, with methods being easier implement, while communication-based costly. The classified as passive, active, hybrid, out which passive more simple economical. In paper, detection method proposed detect single line ground fault. This fault considered represent 60 70% total un-intentional faults category. available cannot at lower mismatches variations voltage frequency fall within thresholding values. method, signals first retrieved targeted DG output then phase angle estimated. Finally, differentiated get Rate Of Change Voltage Phase Angle (ROCOVPA) islanding, it compared Frequency (ROCOF) zero percent mismatch. Simulation results depict that ROCOVPA effective than ROCOF. not only reduces time Non-Detection Zone (NDZ) but also stable during non-islanding cases like load connection disconnection avoid nuisance tripping.
