ABSTRACT
Li-ion batteries are crucial components for progress in mobile communications and transport technologies. However, suffer from strong self-heating, which limits their life-time creates reliability environmental problems. Here we show that thermal management the of can be drastically improved using hybrid phase change material with graphene fillers. Conventional relies on latent heat stored as its changes over a small temperature range, thereby reducing rise inside battery. Incorporation to hydrocarbon-based allows one increase conductivity by more than two orders magnitude while preserving storage ability. A combination sensible together conduction outside battery pack leads significant decrease typical pack. The described combined - approach lead transformative other types batteries.
