ABSTRACT
This work proposes lossless and near-lossless compression algorithms for multi-channel biomedical signals. The are sequential efficient, which makes them suitable low-latency low-power signal transmission applications. We make use of information theory processing tools (such as universal coding, prediction, fast online implementations multivariate recursive least squares), combined with simple methods to exploit spatial well temporal redundancies typically present in tested publicly available electroencephalogram electrocardiogram databases, surpassing all cases the current state art ratios.
