ABSTRACT
Clinicians benefit from online treatment planning systems, through off-site accessibility, data sharing and professional interaction. As well as enhancing clinical value, incorporation of simulation tools affords innovative avenues for open-ended, multi-disciplinary research collaboration. An extensible system clinicians, technicians, manufacturers researchers to build on a framework is presented. This achieved using domain model that relates entities theoretical, engineering domains, allowing algorithmic generation configuration several open source solvers. The platform applied Minimally Invasive Cancer Treatments (MICTs), interventional radiologists upload patient data, segment images validate simulated treatments radiofrequency ablation, cryoablation, microwave ablation irreversible electroporation. A traditional radiology software layout provided in-browser use, with simple, guided simulation, primarily training research. Developers access web-based manage their own components (equipment, numerical models protocols) related parameters. tested by at four centres, pseudonymized part the Go-Smart Project (http://gosmart-project.eu). technology released set http://github.com/go-smart.
