ABSTRACT
Identification of Cherenkov light generated by muons has been suggested as a promising way to dramatically improve the background rejection power Imaging Atmospheric Telescope (IACT) arrays at high energies. However, muon identification remains challenging task, for which efficient algorithms are still being developed. We present an approach in which, rather than identifying from muons, we simply consider presence other main shower image IACTs with large mirror area. show that case H.E.S.S. array five telescopes this results improvements all energies above 1 TeV. In particular, can be improved factor $\sim3-4$ 20 TeV while keeping $\sim90\%$ original gamma-ray efficiency.
