ABSTRACT
This study examines the correlational relationships between local journal authorship, and external citation counts, full-text downloads, link-resolver clicks, four global impact factor indices within an all-disciplines collection of 12,200 titles six subject subsets at University Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) Library. While earlier investigations usage (downloads) metrics have been inconclusive, this shows strong correlations in set most subsets. The normalized Eigenfactor was only index that correlated highly with metrics. Some identified disciplinary variances among may be explained by publication aspirations UIUC researchers. authorship citations specific closely match national department or program rankings.
