ABSTRACT
Various data-sharing platforms have emerged with the growing public demand for open data and legislation mandating certain to remain open. Most of these opaque, leading many questions about accuracy, provenance lineage, privacy implications, consent management, lack fair incentives providers. With their transparency, immutability, non-repudiation, decentralization properties, blockchains could not be more apt answer enhance trust in a platform. However, are good at handling four Vs big (i.e., volume, variety, velocity, veracity) due limited performance, scalability, high cost. Given related works proposes blockchain-based trustworthy solutions, there is increasing confusion difficulties understanding selecting technologies terms sharing mechanisms, services, quality applications. In this paper, we conduct comprehensive survey on architectures applications fill gap. First, present foundations discuss challenges current techniques. Second, focus convergence blockchain give clear picture landscape propose reference architecture sharing. Third, industrial sharing, ranging from healthcare smart grid transportation decarbonization. For each application, provide lessons learned deployment Blockchain-based Finally, research directions.
