ABSTRACT
Traditional Chinese Painting (TCP) is an invaluable cultural heritage resource and a unique visual art style. In recent years, increasing interest has been placed on digitalizing TCPs to preserve revive the culture. The resulting digital copies have enabled advancement of computational methods for structured systematic understanding TCPs. To explore this topic, we conducted in-depth analysis 92 pieces literature. We examined current use computer technologies from three perspectives, based numerous conversations with specialists. First, in light "Six Principles Painting" theory, categorized articles according their research focus artistic elements. Second, created four-stage framework illustrate purposes TCP applications. Third, summarized popular techniques applied also provides insights into potential applications future prospects, professional opinion. list surveyed publications related information available online at https://ca4tcp.com.
