ABSTRACT
The theoretical oscillation frequencies of even the best asteroseismic models solar-like oscillators show significant differences from observed frequencies. Structure inversions seek to use these frequency infer underlying in stellar structure. While used extensively study Sun, structure inversion results for other stars have so far been limited. Applying sound-speed more allows us probe theory over a larger range conditions, as well look overall patterns that may hint at deficits our current understanding. To end, we present 12 main-sequence solar-type with masses between 1M$_\odot$ and 1.15M$_\odot$. Our are able isothermal sound speed innermost 30% by radius target stars. In half stars, best-fit model fully agrees observations. remainder, reveal profile star model. We find five where core is too low one showing opposite behavior. For two which most differences, examine whether changing microphysics improves them changes nuclear reaction rates or opacities can reduce, but do not resolve, differences.
