ABSTRACT
We study maximally supersymmetric irrelevant deformations of the D1-D5 CFT that correspond to following attractor flow in reverse dual half-BPS black string solutions type IIB supergravity on K3. When a single, quadratic condition is imposed parameters 22 such deformations, asymptotics solution degenerate linear dilaton like spacetime. identify each degeneration limit with known decoupling theory, which yields little theory or thereof (the so-called open brane LST, ODp theories), compactified two dimensions. This suggests 21-parameter family above leads UV-complete theories, are theories decoupled from gravity continuously connected other. All these have been argued display Hagedorn behaviour; we show including F1 strings an additional Cardy term. The resulting entropy formula closely resembles single-trace $T\bar T$-deformed CFTs, whose generalisations could provide possibly tractable effective two-dimensional descriptions web theories. also consider asymptotically flat strings. At fixed temperature, partition function dominated by thermodynamically stable, small solutions, similar ones backgrounds. certain asymptotic symmetries bear striking resemblance state-dependent T$, and break down precisely when background reaches large threshold. small, may admit T$ - description.
