Automatic measurement of coverage area of water-based pesticides-surfactant formulation on plant leaves using deep learning tools

ABSTRACT
A method to efficiently and quantitatively study the delivery of a pesticide-surfactant formulation in water solution over plants leaves is presented. Instead measuring contact angle, surface wet area used as key parameter. To this goal, deep learning model has been trained tested, automatically measure with cucumber leaves, processing frames video footage. We have individuated an existing model, reported literature for other applications, we applied it different task. present measurement technique, some details its training procedure image segmentation performance. Finally, report results areas function concentration surfactant pesticide solution.
