ABSTRACT
The axion-gluon coupling can be constrained directly through hard exclusive processes at the LHC. Specifically, we study associated production of a long-lived axion with $\rho^0$ meson in ultra-peripheral $AA$ collisions and $pp$ collisions. With escaped from detector, final state is characterized by mono-hadron signature. main background our analysis originates $\rho^0+\pi^0$ process, where photons $\pi^0$ decay are undetected due to limited detector performance. Our yields an exclusion limit that comparable obtained mono-jet process
