ABSTRACT
GSM-R (GSM for Railways) is a 2G-based standardized ground-to-train communications system that enabled interoperability across different countries. However, as system, it nearing its lifetime and therefore, will be replaced with 5G-based Future Railway Mobile Communications System (FRMCS). FRMCS expected to bring in new use cases demand low latency high reliability. from mobility perspective, not clear how the reliability achieved. This paper investigates effect of handover procedure on analyzes which can satisfied using baseline handover. We also sweep through parameter configurations analyze their performance. Then, we performance packet Our results show that, handover, Standard Data Scenario met optimizing reduce by up 18.5%, indicating crucial FRMCS.
