ABSTRACT
Abstract Wastewater reclamation processes, including membrane bio reactor (MBR) and nanofiltration (NF) membrane, have been built, those processes were independently operated, under recycling conditions, to compare the performances, with respect contaminants removal fouling minimization. The hydrophilic fractions of organic matter more effectively removed than hydrophobic fraction through system due microbial activities in MBR, as measured using three dimensional fl uorescence excitation emission spectra. Furthermore, levels nitrogen compounds, micropollutants, metals, metalloid substantially reduced by applied MBR NF system. These observations good agreements patterns molecular weight distributions major components for wastewater fractions; high-performance size-exclusion chromatography, fluorescence infrared spectra, XAD 8/4 resins revealed that (non-humic substances), comprising protein-like substances saccharide groups, are responsible serious tested reclamation.
