ABSTRACT
Abstract Solid state reaction method was selected to prepare Sr2Bi2O5 powders. The sample character-ized by X-ray diffractometer (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM). Then the photoca-talytic activity of evaluated photodegradation acid red G under fluorescent (λ = 365 nm) irradiation. obtained at 900°C presented high photocatalytic activity. degradation rate (50 mg/L) catalyst (3.0 g/L) 98%. UV–visible absorption spectral analysis showed that effectively destroyed color groups aromatic completely. photo-degradation reactions different initial concentrations followed first order kinetics.
