ABSTRACT
The use of intravenous contrast media (CM) has increased for the diagnosis several diseases. newly developed low osmolar nonionic agents cause significantly decreased adverse reactions than higher ones. However, may still occur, ranging in severity from minor side effects to severe complications. there have been few reports about cutaneous (CARs) monomer CM. purpose this study was evaluate clinical features CAR A total 47,338 examinees underwent iodinated contrast-enhanced computed tomography scan using Among CM, we divided them into or noncutaneous and immediate (<1 hr) late (≥1 reactions. Adverse were noted 62 cases out cases; 50 (80.7%) categorized CARs. them, 24 male 26 female patients. There no significant difference between sexes, CARs occurred all age groups. highest occurrence range 50~59 years. included urticaria (78%), angioedema (10%), maculopapular rash (8%), erythema (2%), pruritus without (2%). Immediate 92% (46 cases), while 8% (4 cases). CM accounted most common.
