ABSTRACT
Sleep is an essential physiological activity for human beings and many studies have so far investigated sleeping comfort of mattresses. The appropriate measurement stress distribution within the body would provide valuable information to us. For estimate body, numerical analysis considered one most desirable techniques, Finite Element Method (FEM), which widely accepted as a useful technique, was utilized in this study. Since dimensions individual differences, however, it presumed that way internal also changes due differences mattress preference varies among different forms. Thus, we developed three FEM models reproducing forms types male subjects, based on relationship between findings sensory testing results. In comparison with results both neck region, found, corresponded findings, possible subjects' preferences region using analysis. study, believe, managed quantify prove itself tools examine mattress.
