ABSTRACT
Aim: The internet is frequently utilized as a resource for accessing health-related information, contributing significantly to health literacy. With the proliferation of usage, it has become evident that majority hospitals maintain websites, which serve platforms disseminating information individuals regarding healthcare professionals, medical conditions, and treatment options. This study aims assess readability quality patient texts about jaw cysts available on internet. Materials Methods: In May 2023, relating "jaw cysts" from 62 out initial 120 websites retrieved through Google search engine (Google LLC, Mountain View, California, USA) were assessed quality. Readability levels determined using "ARI(ARI)", while assessment was conducted utilizing DISCERN scale. Statistical analysis performed SPSS 23 (SPSS Inc., Chicago, IL, USA). Results: According ARI, 50% (31 websites) at 11-12 grade level, with 85.5% (53 categorized medium difficulty. Additionally, based scale assessment, 46.7% (29 rated poor in Conclusion: creation concerning internet, imperative take into account our society's literacy levels.
