ABSTRACT
Quality of river water is utmost important as it directly affects the life living organism including human beings. Due to increased urbanisation and industrialisation, generation wastewater increased. About half continuously released in partially treated or untreated form fresh bodies. Keeping this mind present study was undertaken impacts STP effluent on Ganga Haridwar city. The samples were collected analysed for temperature, pH, total solids (TS), dissolved (TDS), suspended (TSS), DO, BOD, COD alkalinity estimation. All parameters found below standard limits except solid concentration (TS greater than 1300mg/l TDS 900mg/l). excess amounts very low amount oxygen, quality after confluence zone slightly disturbed.
