ABSTRACT
Overactive bladder (OAB) is a medical condition characterized by urgency, with or without urge urinary incontinence, frequency, and nocturia in the absence of genitourinary pathologies metabolic factors that can explain these symptoms. The current management OAB complex, wide range options for conservative treatment have been offered, including training, biofeedback, behavioral changes, oral intravesical anticholinergic agents, S3 sacral neuromodulation, peripheral electrical stimulation. clinical efficacies treatments remains an open issue, several experimental studies carried out during last years. However, minor group patients prove to be refractory managements need further evaluation involving sophisticated urodynamic testing cystoscopy carefully define nature lower tract dysfunction rule other causes underlying Thus, OAB, which accounts 10% whole spectrum extremely difficult. aforementioned therapeutic tools not always completely satisfactory OAB. Here, author reviews mechanism micturition reflex therapies, particularly highlighting potential benefit neuromodulation
