ABSTRACT
When analyzing factors related to suicide, it is necessary consider the regional characteristics of areas where individuals live in addition individual factors. This study aimed investigate spatiotemporal association between suicide rates and geographic features patterns this for all administrative South Korea from 2009 2019. The data used were obtained National Statistical Office Korean Information Service. For rates, age-standardized mortality index per 100 000 people used. All districts 2019 divided into 229 regions. Emerging hotspot analysis was a 3-dimensional simultaneously evaluate temporal spatial clusters. In regions, there 27 (11.8%) hotspots 60 (26.2%) cold spots. Hotspot pattern found 2 (0.9%) new spots, 1 (0.4%) persistent spot, 23 (10.0%) sporadic oscillating spot. differences Korea. utilization national resources prevention should be selectively intensively prioritized 3 that exhibit unique patterns.
