ABSTRACT
Bimodal stimulation is a possible treatment for asymmetrical hearing loss, wherein 1 ear stimulated with cochlear implant and the other aid. This emerging indication has gained significance over last few years. However, little research been conducted regarding performance in different types of asymmetric Hearing loss. study seeks to prove bilateral-binaural advantage group patients treated bimodal (cochlear aid), degrees loss their best ear.In total, 31 were recruited study. They divided into 3 groups on basis aid: Group A, pure tone average (PTA) between 41 70 dB HL; B, PTA 71 80 C, 81 90 HL. The disyllabic word recognition analyzed separately each then bimodally. minimum follow-up period was 2 years. There statistically significant differences monaural conditions both recognition. better residual aid, greater benefits obtained bilateralism-binaurality.Bimodal provides results than any mode, regardless whether it involves use aid alone or alone.
