ABSTRACT
Objective: Hepatitis A virus (HAV) is a common cause of acute viral hepatitis and may lead to serious clinical conditions such as liver failure, especially in adulthood.Evaluation HAV serologies the patient group with chronic vaccinate susceptible individuals recommended by guidelines.The aim this study was determine seroprevalence anti-HAV IgG B patients who were followed Bismil State Hospital Diyarbakır where HBsAg positivity rates are higher than national average.Methods: total 209 patients, 121 (57.9%) males 88 (42.1%) females at Infectious Diseases Clinical Micobiology Outpatient Clinic between January 1, 2015 December 31,2016 included study.Macro-ELISA (Architect i2000 SR, Abbott, Abbott Park, IL, USA) test kits used for IgG, patients' data evaluated retrospectively.Results: Overall 98.6%.Anti-HAV seronegativity highest <20 years age 11.8%, 1.6% 20-29 old group.Anti-HAV present all ≥30 groups.Conclusions: Although high adult B, screening vaccination should be performed, adolescents young adults.
