ABSTRACT
We aimed to evaluate the association between TP53 Arg72Pro gene polymorphism and risk of colorectal cancer in an Azerbaijani population.A total 141 patients with 150 gender- age-matched controls were involved study. The genotypes detected by polymerase chain reaction-based restriction fragment length analysis. We found that heterozygous Arg/Pro (odds ratio, 1.128; 95% CI, 0.657-1.937) mutant Pro/Pro 1.274; 0.648-2.504) more frequent compared healthy controls. frequency Pro allele 1.122; 0.809-1.554) was revealed 47.5% 44.7% There no observed population (P > .05).Our findings indicate a lack relationship cancer. Furthermore, we have statistical differences genotype sex, age, histological grade, tumor stage, smoking status, alcohol consumption this
