ABSTRACT
Circulating tumor cells (CTCs) are cancer which separate from the primary and enter systemic circulation. In this study, it was aimed to examine relationship between CTCs isolated identified peripheral blood of patients with pancreatobiliary cancer, clinicopathological characteristics their overall survival.A total 21 were included study. Density gradient centrifugation OncoQuick® assay performed for isolation blood. order identify CTCs, enriched samples underwent flow cytometric analysis. The rate positive surgical margin in high CTC group (CTC <15) be statistically significantly compared low ≤15) (83.3% vs. 16.7%; P = .041). Median neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio (NLR) found higher group, close statistical significance (2.37 1.41; .055).Circulating have a significant positivity our study first time, suggesting that count preoperative may biomarker predicting margin. Due very number studies assessing NLR, contributes literature on topic possible role lymphocytes clearance.
