ABSTRACT
Health hazards of e-cigarettes including "e-cigarette or vaping product use-associated lung injury" are better understood today. Just as e-cigarettes, heated tobacco products release toxic emissions. We aimed to determine the knowledge and attitude about new generation among physicians who were members an organization for health care professionals, majority whom pulmonologists.In this cross-sectional study, a self-administered online questionnaire-based survey was conducted from April October 2019. The included questions demographics (gender, age, graduation date medical institution, academic title), their smoking status, attitudes toward products, additionally whether can be used aid in cessation.Among 506 responded survey, 56.7 % female; mean age 42.4 ± 10.9 years (20-74). About 74.5% pulmonologists, 5.5% thoracic surgeons, 20% other physicians. Among responders, frequency those have not heard before determined 9.5%, 24.5%, 41.3%. At least 58.9% participants lacked necessary discuss these with patients rate reached 76.7% product. To question cessation, 68.4% "I never agree that they used."
