ABSTRACT
Abstract. The three-dimensional photochemical model UAM-V is used to investigate the effects of various meteorological conditions and coarseness emission inventories on ozone concentration ROG/NOx limitation production in Po Basin northern part Italy. As a base case, high episode with up 200ppb 13 May 1998 was modelled previously thoroughly evaluated measurements gained during large field experiment. Systematic variations meteorology are applied mixing height, air temperature, specific humidity wind speed. Three coarser obtained by resampling from 3x3km2 54x54km2 grids. results show that changes input files strongly influence this area. For instance, temperature peak 10.1ppb/&degC concentrations Milan 2.8ppb/&degC. net formation Italy more than dependent, while very important for production. all (e.g. doubling height), remains ROG limited. A strong change towards NOx sensitivity limited areas only found if much were applied. Increasing increasing speed found, because chemistry induced point sources spread over larger Simulations without tend increase areas.
