ABSTRACT
Pocket beaches, otherwise known as embayed beaches are whose existence traceable to human activity or natural occurrence. These found be confined within the base of geological structures artificially designed set up such groin, hence, pocket always subject various attacks via anthropogenic forces. in many cases reflects thickness beach sediments and therefore determine extent which it can survive when hit by unfriendly environmental impact. Estimation sedimentary is a vital tool successful geomorphological investigation geared towards effective execution coastal area management. This study aims estimate several located Malta using passive seismic survey method Horizontal-to-Vertical spectral ratio (H/V). geophysical employs noise depth layer over bedrock with higher shear wave velocity.  Although recent years, this methodology has increased popularity investigations, however, there few examples application approach marine sandy scientific literature, making novel contribution field. The results revealed clear H/V peaks on studied, frequency variations corresponding expected sediment variations. latter was also computed modelling curves well use data. technique Maltese system demonstrated its effectiveness providing valuable information for management environments. been supported SIPOBED project financed Council Science Technology (MCST) - Space Reearch Funds
