ABSTRACT
Abstract. We present a representative set of data interpreted ice thickness and surface elevation the ablation area Artesonraju glacier between 2012 2020. The was obtained by means Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), while automated total stations mass balance stakes. results from GPR show maximum depth 235 ± 18 m decreasing mean ranging 134 in 2013 to 110 Additionally, we estimate change rate −4.2 3.2 yr−1 2014 2020 with alone, which is agreement same period. latter estimated more accurate data, yielding −3.2 0.2 yr−1, hence, confirming negative balance. can be valuable for further analysis when combined other types, as input dynamics modeling, volume estimations, GLOF (glacial lake outburst flood) risk assessment. complete dataset available at https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.5571081 (Oberreuter et al, 2021).
