ABSTRACT

Flood hazard prediction is a critical component of flood risk assessment, management plans, and implementation mitigation measures. In the EU, there currently growing interest in floods caused by extreme heavy rainfall, commonly known as pluvial floods. Due to rapid development computational remote sensing technology, well public availability high-resolution spatial data, are now simulated using integrated hydrological-hydraulic approaches consisting time-dependent 2D numerical models so-called rain-on-grid with spatially variable infiltration. this paper, we will present recent progress methodological framework for assessment city Poreč northern coastal part Croatia, focusing on interpretation modification input precipitation data processing, modelling flooding. We show what were collected improved, generated, how processed purpose, discuss some aspects specific flooding urban areas. Finally, results its catchment area provide recommendations further research.
