ABSTRACT
Abstract. In order to reduce the resistance and increase speed for a high-speed wheeled amphibious vehicle, wheel-retracting mechanism was applied walking influence researched. Firstly, obtain reliable numerical method, realizable shear stress transport (SST) k-ω turbulence model computational fluid dynamic (CFD) built by an overset mesh technique used compared with corresponding tests. Secondly, effect of wheels' flip angle on resistance, heave pitch investigated. Then, wheel well optimized simulation. Finally, results showed that wheels more significant, larger was, significant reduction would be. An beneficial reduction. Furthermore, running attitude became steadier, thereby decreasing pitch.
