ABSTRACT
Abstract. In order to deeply understand the cutting mechanism of SiCp / Al in ultrasonic vibration-assisted turning, a prediction model temperature field composites UVAC (ultrasonic cutting) was established. A theoretical instantaneous depth and transient shear angle established considering real-time changing depth, tool front characteristics UVAC. The relationship between speed, speed chip flow processes is revealed, as well force cutter friction force. Finally, influence heat generated by source zone on rise calculated, experiment processing carried out. with 25 % volume fraction were turned, data measured recorded an infrared thermal imaging device. feed rate tested single factor, changes under different parameters compared. experimental compared values verify validity model.
