ABSTRACT
Abstract. The tidal changes of the barometric pressure in area Thessaloniki were studied by analysing a sample 21 years hourly measurements. resulted parameters (amplitude and phase difference) considered as "mean values" corresponding for this long time period. Using these parameters, computed subtracted from observations. Assuming that residuals might include local (in terms time) information, the residual series was split blocks new analysis performed each block separately. amplitude values wave variation with respect to correspondingmean value. An observable correlation exalting most waves found Earthquakes magnitude >4, occurred close test
