Most medical students worldwide are using some form of social media platform to supplement their learning via file sharing and stay up-to-date on events. Often, may blur the line between socialization educational use, so it is important be aware how one utilizing remain professional. Research has yielded troublesome themes misconduct: drunken behaviour, violations confidentiality defamation institutions. Because there no universal policy monitor online professionalism, exists potential for indiscretions occur. It been reported that misdemeanours can affect future residency placements employment students. Accordingly, studies suggest educators need recognize this new era professionalism adapt policies reprimands meet modern outlets where violated.
