ABSTRACT
Background: Regardless of the technique used, extraction uterus is a crucial step in hysterectomy. There currently no scoring system to predict its feasibility. Objectives: Our main objective was determine predictive score uterine feasibility optimise surgical planning total As secondary objectives, we examined correlation between volume predicted by preoperative ultrasound and final weight specimen analysed impact modality on operative hospitalisation times. Materials Methods: We defined Uterine Extraction Score (UES) based ratio sizes vaginal access. This retrospectively applied cohort 178 patients who were hysterectomised for benign conditions January 2019 December 2022. Main outcome measures: The UES allows identification three groups decreasing extraction, symbolised traffic light colours: green - without morcellation, orange -vaginal with red abdominal morcellation mini-laparotomy or primary laparotomy. Results: results show that UES-predicted, observed routes concord 92% cases. strong estimated weight. lengthens time hospital stay. Conclusions: seems be reliable tool route What New? development new empowers surgeons decisive information enhance perioperative outcomes.
