ABSTRACT
Childhood cancer poses many challenges shared during the course of disease for children and their families, especially mother, which is why this research aims identify characteristics resiliency between mothers respective these last who have cancer, as well know degree relationship two. We had participation 60 individuals, 30 are diagnosed with men women, 8 17 years age, remaining participants correspond to aged 28 years. (1) Questionnaire two measures were applied (2) scale resilience (force personal safety) adults. The results indicate high in three dimensions (internal, external protective factors, empathy). maternal shows be dimension altruism, followed by a level moderate dimensions: self-esteem, family, security, membership. An association was found (empathy) his mother (security). It concluded that family essential development child protection factor, role necessary when it comes cancer. suggested patients, families professionals integrated order promote optimal go beyond just medical treatment.
