ABSTRACT
Due to the limited number of antimicrobials be used in treatment infections caused by Gram-negative microorganisms with multi-drug resistance recently, old antibiotics such as colistin have started preferred frequently. However, some problems are encountered antibiotic susceptibility tests (disk diffusion, gradient test, automated systems) which frequently routine laboratory due cationic nature colistin. For this reason, only broth microdilution test is recommended European Committee on Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing (EUCAST) and Clinical Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) for detection susceptibility. Since time consuming inconvenient, that can provide fast reliable result needed laboratories. In study, it was aimed evaluate performance commercially produced Diagnostics MIC-COL (Diagnostics I.n.c, Galanta, Slovakia) Klebsiella pneumoniae Acinetobacter baumannii strains.
