ABSTRACT
SUMMARY Aim: The aim of this study was to investigate postoperative analgesic effectiveness intraarticular (IA), intramuscular (IM) or intrathecal (IT) administration morphine in arthroscopic knee surgery. Materials and Methods: Seventy-six patients with ASA physical status I-II, aged 18 65 years, undergoing surgery were included the study. Morphine (10 mg) given via IA IM groups (n:21) (n:16), respectively, at end surgical procedure. IT 0.1 mg administered together local anesthetic Group (n:21). not applied control (Group C). Visual analogue scale scores for pain analyzed. Additional requirement, side effects hemodynamic parameters compared between groups. Results: None needed additional treatment first 24 hours, whereas 14.3 %, 25.0 % 72.2 IA, C, respectively (p<0.001). There no difference nausea vomiting (p=0.07). Fifteen 3 experienced itching. Conclusion: three routes provides similar effect better analgesia comparison group. Due higher incidence group, either route may be chosen an adequate dose used present
