ABSTRACT
Entrepreneurship is a key to the improvement in quality of individuals, households, and communities viz sustained economic growth country. Smallholder farmers’ entrepreneurship response new opportunities gain gains rather than subsistence agriculture. For example, grow High-Value Agricultural (HVA) crops conventional crops. The present study aims assess entrepreneurial characteristics smallholders Punjab Province Pakistan. this purpose, cross-sectional data 450 farmers were collected through well-designed questionnaire. Data analyzed by using simple statistics inferential statistics. probit model results show positive significant impact education, prior experience, risk aversion, knowledge skills about crops, self-actualization on opportunity exploitation HVA farmers. finding factor analysis shows three important groups labeled as marketing, policy, institutional support cultivation Moreover, outcomes multiple regression reveal that emphasizing technological provides novel viewpoint for Even absence modern innovations, these can still identify capitalize opportunities. Therefore, foster farming, it suggested accessibility improved seed varieties access market intelligence should be made more favorable entrepreneurs.
