ABSTRACT
In this study a new, simple, precise, accurate and economic electrochemical method was developed validated for the voltammetric determination of zolpidem (ZP) using disposable pencil graphite (PG) electrode. The anodic oxidation ZP on surface PG electrode examined in britton robinson (BR) buffer. Square wave cyclic voltammetry were used as techniques potential range 0-1.2 V pH 8 BR studies, diffusion coefficient found to be 3.6×10-6 cm2 s-1. On other hand, has shown well-defined irreversible peak at 0.98 square mode. electrode, primarily being which large active area gives rise increasing current with respect electrooxidation. showed an electrocatalytic effect ZP. A linear relationship between catalytic response concentration obtained over 10-30 μM R.S.D. values ranging from 0.29-3.89. Limits detection quantitation 1 3 μM, respectively. Finally, successfully determine standard tablet dosage forms mean recovery 100.69 %. Keywords: Pencil zolpidem, voltammetry, pharmaceutical formulation
