Performance of a variety of treatment processes to purify wastewater in the food industry

The food industry consumes large amounts of water although there is an increasing demand for and a rapid decrease in the level natural resources. Wastewater resulting from industries needs to be assessed their compliance standards. In this study, wastewater treatment steps were investigated accurate assessment loading by analyzing parameters concentration compounds present effluents. results revealed that treated as follow, electrical conductivity 2931 μs/cm, total suspended solids 100 mg/L, biochemical oxygen 90 chemical 250 phosphorus 7.9 nitrogen 70 mg/L. This exerts huge load on biological unit. Thus, study offers understanding support selecting appropriate industrial obtain effluent suitable with standards environmental quality.
