ABSTRACT
Increasing the yield and nutritional value of faba beans is one main objectives common bean cultivar improvement programs due to its contribution terminate protein deficiency malnutrition in developing countries raising income level smallholder farmers. In this study, technological quality seeds from twenty-four genotypes were evaluated (twenty germplasm four improved cultivars (Misr 1, Giza 429, 716, 843). The results showed a significant diversity Egyptian their traits compared control indicated that had high hydration coefficient ranged between (98.6-112.4%). While most for cotyledons hull ratio met commercial criteria (7.41-6.41%). Twenty highest total soluble solids (6.90-11.78%) superior cultivars. chemical composition analysis differed such as (26.65 30.72 %.), carbohydrate (58.00 62.25%), tannin (70.67 157.45%), phenols (35.23-51.02 %), moisture (9.15 10.45%).
