Multicomponent approach to the synthesis and spectral characterization of some 3,5-pyrazolididione derivatives and evaluation as anti-inflammatory agents

ABSTRACT
Pyrazolones are a class of heterocyclic compounds that contain pyrazole ring fused to ketone group. Recent scientific research has focused extensively on the potential anti-inflammatory properties pyrazolone due their diverse pharmacological effects in alleviating inflammation and reducing fever. This motivated us focus preparation these derivatives simple eco-friendly manner. A convenient new green methodology was modified for 1-phenyl-3,5-pyrazolidinedione by sonicated MCR diethyl malonate, phenylhydrazine, catalytic amount imidazole as homogenous organic catalyst water solvent good yield. On other hand, some 4-arylidinepyrazolidinedione prepared same manner via treatment mixture aromatic aldehydes, an aqueous medium. Our target synthesized pyrazolidinediones were elucidated elemental several spectral analyses. Due importance field treating relieving pain, number chosen test efficacy agents using carrageenan-induced foot edema rats compare results with indomethacin, standard drug. We found majority yield promising spanning from wonderful, so (15k, 15b, 15h, 15a, 15j) best while derivative (15i) yields average result. As (15f), it lowest compared is difference structural composition derivatives, which increases likelihood use derivatives.
