ABSTRACT
Objective Low-back pain (LBP) is a massive health problem. Sitting at work has been suggested to be both risk and protective factor for LBP. Thus, the objective of this study was investigate association between total temporal patterns objectively measured sitting duration individual time course Methods The analysis performed among 665 participants from DPhacto cohort mainly blue-collar workers. by accelerometry baseline, expressed in pattern [% working spent brief bursts (≤5 minutes), moderate (>5 – ≤20 minutes) prolonged periods (>20 minutes)] sitting. Time LBP (0–10 scale) were collected monthly text messages across one year. Linear mixed models applied association, adjusting potential confounders. Results Significant negative associations adjusted found; (B -0.01, 95% CI -0.01– -0.004), -0.02– -0.01), -0.008) -0.01). Meaning, 5-minute increase will correspond decrease year -0.05 points. Conclusion Longer significantly associated with favorable This finding shows beneficial LBP, populations workers, protecting aggravation.
