ABSTRACT
The research developed in this paper is the workflow to create a self-supporting structure from sheet materials using robotic fabrication and computational tools. This focuses on timber materials, as material that can be altered variety of ways.Japanese connections were strong influence for research, due its prolonged lifespan sustainable advantages. In past, techniques have been limited design limitations. This explored how current technology, specifically parametric software combined with fabrication, connect at different angles. This method was utilised repurpose concept towards complex structure, which adopted idea mass customisation over production. This help reshape future architecture through use advancing technology assembly joints.
