ABSTRACT
Many of the crime scene evidences are collected by transferring body fluids that attached to surface using a tool such as sterile cotton swab or tape. The amount transferred collection directly affects possibility DNA profiling. In this study, recovery rate and detection profile were examined swabs, rubber coating agents urethane-based adhesives from porous materials. We prepared samples spraying 100㎕ diluted blood on their surface, each sample was swab, agent, adhesive, rates compared. result, showed highest with 68.6%. Rubber agent 47.2% 2.9% rate, respectively. Furthermore, we measured FT-IR spectra adhesive found peak C=O group larger in adhesive. This result indicates polarity is greater than it has excellent wettability. As tool, had disadvantage taking long drying time sampling process, however, high when collecting samples, for use actual incident cases confirmed.
